Recycling Week ♻

It’s National Recycling Week on 22nd September – 28th September, and there’s never been a better time to make a difference! At Knightswick Shopping Centre, plenty of your favourite stores offer recycling services. From donating spare coffee pods to and batteries to giving old phones a new life, doing good for the environment has never felt so good. 💪🌍

Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s is committed to reducing food waste and supporting local communities. Through their partnership with The Prince’s Trust, surplus food from stores is donated to local charities and food banks, ensuring that extra food reaches those who need it most. In addition, many Sainsbury’s stores offer in-store recycling points for items like batteries and vapes, making it easy for customers to dispose of these responsibly. 🔋🧡

Savers

Savers is helping customers reduce waste with in-store battery recycling drop-off points and a WEEE-compliant takeback service. When you buy a new electrical item, like an electric toothbrush, Savers will recycle your old one free of charge on a like-for-like basis. It’s a simple way to keep hazardous materials out of landfill and give valuable components a new life, just ask in-store for details next time you shop. ⚡🌟

The Works

When you buy a new electrical or electronic item from The Works, they’ll recycle your old one for free. Simply return your like-for-like item within 28 days of purchase, and we’ll make sure it’s disposed of safely instead of going to landfill. Just ask a member of staff in-store for details. 🙌✨

CeX

CeX offers a tech recycling scheme where you can trade in unwanted gadgets, games, and electronics for cash or store credit. Items can be sold in-store or via a free home collection service, helping to reduce electronic waste. If an item is rejected, you can choose to have it returned or recycled, ensuring it doesn’t end up in landfill. By selling, reusing, and recycling tech, CeX helps customers contribute to a more sustainable future while getting value from their old electronics. 💻🎮

Costa

Recycling your used coffee pods at Costa is simple. First, ask a barista in any Costa store for a pod recycling bag. Each bag can hold up to 75 pods, whether plastic or aluminium. Once it’s full, simply seal the bag and drop it off at any store. Costa will then send the pods to be sorted and recycled, keeping them out of landfill and giving the materials a second life. ☕🌍

Totally Wicked

Give your disposable vapes a second life with Totally Wicked’s recycling scheme. Simply bring your old vapes into store and hand them over, they’ll be collected and sent to a specialist recycling facility. This ensures that valuable materials like batteries and metals are recovered and reused, keeping hazardous waste out of landfill and reducing environmental impact. ⚡🙌
